CRADLE OF FILTH / LIVE BAIT FOR THE DEAD

Recorded at Rock City in Nottingham earlier this year, this is Cradles first live CD and pretty good it is too.

Live CD's can be a bit hit and miss, there are no second chances or re recording of a bass line, so if you can record a good live CD, it proves that the band are world class and not just good in the studio. Death Metal is not an easy animal to capture live and with a CD you only get half of what really went on, having said all that Cradle do pass the test.

Most of the classics are here, "Dusk & Her Embrace", "The Principle Of Evil", "Lord Abortion", all dispatched with that COF efficiency reserved usually for a top-flight autopsy.

The second CD is remix of various tracks and the only track worth mentioning is "The Fire Still Burns" from the Twisted Sister tribute, but never the less at least its nice to have these extras and you do get a CD ROM video. It's been an expensive time for COF fans lets hope the next release is a new studio CD.
