BEAUTY IN DARKNESS VOL. 6 / VARIOUS

This is an excellent compilation on the Nuclear Blast label, featuring some of the best, more commercial tracks from Gothic and Death Metal bands.

If you are not too familiar with the Genres concerned this is an excellent introduction as all are on the lighter side and very commercial and listenable. It starts of in fine style with brilliant tracks from the last Anathema album, as well as top tracks from the like s of Tiamat, Moonspell, My Dying Bride, Opeth, Tripping The Vein and Hypocrisy.

A special mention goes out to the Opeth tracks "Harvest" which starts off with a beautiful acoustic guitar and builds up into a fantastic musical landscape and the Hypocrisy track, "Death Row" which finishes off the CD superbly and is the heaviest track on this sampler and my personal favourite.

If you are looking for a sampler to try out this sort of music, this is the one for you.
