ASGAROTH / RED SHIFT

Asgaroth are a Spanish Death Metal band who have been around for about 7 years and so far have not attracted international attention, this however is about change with the Peaceville release of Red Shift.

The climate is right for their brand of Melodic Death Metal, full of atmospheric keyboards and thrash tainted guitars with just a hint of Goth here and there for taste. Their influences are many and varied and the names Emperor, My Dying Bride, Cradle Of Filth and Anathema spring to mind, note that all these are top notch acts so it gives you an idea of how good these guys are.

You only have to listen to the superb "Naked Eye" the haunting melodic "Mindscape" and the brutality of "6 Bloodstains" to know that Asgaroth are prepared to take on the world. Peaceville are well chuffed at signing these guys and rightly so, to think if they hadn't gone on their holiday to Spain, they might never have found them.
