Switzerland is not well know for it's metal but Alastis are one of the best Dark Metal bands around at the moment. Sounding like a cross between Paradise Lost and Moonspell, this brooding album is full of great songs and when the vocalist War D sing's "Everyone Love Me, Everyone Respect Me" he definitely means it. The keyboards and samples add superb gothic splendour while the Dark and moody guitars wail respectively creating some of the best moments of their career. Standout tracks, Another God, The Sign and And Death Smiled. A very good CD well worth buying.
