LEMMY / DAMAGE CASE

Motorhead have recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary but Lemmy’s career stretches further back that that, right back to the late 60’s with the Rocking Vicars and this compilation celebrates his entire history, some of which you probably don’t even know of.

Lets face it Lemmy is a living legend and deserves respect so if you only know his as the mainstay of Morothead you only have half the story this double disc will fill in the missing pieces. The tracks are in chronological order starting with the Rocking Vicars, through Sam Topal to his days with Hawkwind, "The Watcher", "Silver Machine" and "Motorhead" representing his days with the band, then came Motorhead and his guest apreance with The Damned version of Ballroom Blitz. He also did tracks with Girlshool, Young & Moody (th Whitesnake offshoot) and a track with Wendy O Williams of the Plasmatics.

Disc 2 strats off with another Motorhead track "Killed By Death" and goes onto 2 tracks by Lemmy & The Upsetters and I have to say this is nes to me and I would call myself a Lemmy fan. There is a few racks that he did for tribute albums "Tie Your Mother Down" from the Queen one and and bringing us bang up to date Lemmy version of "The Trooper" (Iron Maiden) and very good it is too. There is also a version of "Enter Sandman" (Metallica) that I have no idea where it came from but its very good, overall this is a fine collection and for Lemmy and Motorhead fans an essential purchase, howere there is a few omissions like the Twisted Sister cover but overall this is well worth the £10.
